传这次听证会，争取更大的支持。nextdoor.com上面人挺多的，而且都是住在本地和周
围的居民，影响力很大。可惜我不在Milpitas，不能加入那里的neighborhood。

ＮＥＸＴＤＯＯＲ 是我在９月初就用来宣传ＮＯ ＯＮ Ｅ， ＮＯ ＣＡＳＩＮＯ
了。在NO E 战友通知我关于垃圾场的事情，我第一时间也是在NEXTDOOR POST。 很多
华裔和非华裔的义工也是在ＮＥＸＴＤＯＯＲ 和ＦＢ， ＷＥＣＨＡＴ 一起联系的
。。
反垃圾场至今为止义工们居民们已经在ＪＥＮＮＩＦＥＲ和好几个积极人士的组织下：
１。ＯＮＬＩＮＥ ＰＥＴＩＴＩＯＮ 已经有２千多人签名
２。每周开会，都有５０－６０人不等参加，已经连续３周。
３。ＷＥＣＨＡＴ， ＧＯＯＧＬＥＧＲＯＵＰ， ＦＡＣＥＢＯＯＫ， ＮＥＸＴＤ
ＯＯＲ 都是一起运作，让大家一起互相交流。
４。１２／１０ SJ 公听会非常重要，已经有100 多人报名参加。
5。居民在附近街道，小学，和超市扫街（这个在SCA5， NO E， 和PETER KUO 助选时
期就一直进行）

Some Study:
Let's compare rates. From a quick glance i see SFH Milpitas is at 24 / month

So why we are suffering from the smell, risking health and not getting much
advantage at all?
Keep in mind, the land belows to SJ, so I am pretty sure Milpitas City does
not get much tax collection or rental money of the land either. Otherwise
why the Milpitas city is looking for Lawyer to sue SJ city?
I agree that we should investigate, we should let all residents know about
this info and have all of them make an educated decision.

if SJ want to extend and expand the landfill, why can't they do one of the
ones in SJ that's not close to Milpitas?
This is the news about Palo Alto Landfill closed on 7/28/2011 - about 3
years ago. http://www.paloaltoonline.com/news/2011/07/02/palo-alto-landfill-to-close-july-28 why they can afford close the landfill? is it because now they are dumping at the zanker site - we all know how close this is to milpitas!
BTW the rate of PA resident of a 32 G waste is 31 per month. http://www.recyclestuff.org/Guides/CityGuidePaloAlto.pdf
If anyone has time please do some more of the studies. we are getting
questions like:
1. will the Waste Bill go up?
2. Where would the extra waste go?
Keep in mind, we are not even talking about the closing of the site, we just

To make our efforts at the markets more effective, we are looking for a lot
of volunteers to stagger shifts. We are thinking to have each small group (
at least one to two volunteers) cover 1 hour window. Hopefully we can have
enough volunteers to cover at least 4-5 hours continuously on a chosen
weekend day. The locations under considerations are (These locations,
compared to other grocery locations, are relatively closer to the dump site)
(1) Lion Supermarket at N Milpitas Blvd/Dixon Landing;
(2) Nob Hill Foods at Jacklin Rd/Arizona Ave;
(3) Grocery Outlet/Paris Baguette at W Calaveras Blvd/Abbott Ave;
(4) Safeway at Town Center Dr/E Calaveras Blvd;
(5) Marina Grocery at N Milpitas Blvd/E Calaveras Blvd.
We hope we can recruit enough volunteers to cover all these locations. If we
have more volunteers, we can spread to other markets and shopping centers
in the city.
If you are interested in volunteering, please send me an email specifying
your weekend day preference and time. Once I have a head count, we can
decide together which markets to cover, on which weekend day, for how long,
etc. By the way, We are informed that the Dec 16 hearing at Sacramento will
be delayed to the end of next Jan.
