For residents who are smelling the odor, or who are not now, but could be as

Sure, we can relocate to another area with fresh air, but why? We deserve
fresh air in our current home! Why do we have to move? Think about the

需要收集空气sample，送去机构分析，查里面的对人体不好成分，说对公众健康造成了

analysis you suggested. That will be a good approach in the long run if they
do issue the expansion permit.
You are exactly right. It is not strong enough to complain about odor. That
is why SJ official could ignore the complaints in the past, because there
were not many complaints. But if we all complain, it becomes a public
nuisance. (Under California law, a public nuisance is defined as a nuisance
which affects at the same time an entire community or neighborhood, or any
considerable number of persons).
PUBLIC NUISANCE is a perfect weapon to fight against landfill expansion,
even in the court.

My name is xxx, an City of xxx resident and registered
voter. I am writing to request you "Stop the Newby landfill New
Permit".
Being 9 miles from the Newby landfill, my family and I have smell the
strong stink for more than 5 times in the past few months! The stink
is so strong that I am concerned there is harmful components in the
air, which might be a threat to the public healthy.
As a registered voter and tax payer, I would like to express my strong
concerns on this matter and make the following requests:
1. The City of San Jose please exam the chemical components in the
landfill, and determine if certain components could potentially impose
threaten to the public healthy.
2. Before the complete analysis is completed by qualified authority or
institution, please put the Newby landfill permit renew on held.
