在美国，这就是政治现实: 我们不去参与政治，政治会来参与你，决定你的life。If
you are not at the (bargaining) table, you are the one under discussion then
fate decided without your presents.

是太形象了。
在我们周围的每天 office politics中，不就是这样的么？多少关于你的talk是在背后
without your presents? 你的提职与否，performance, bonus, work on which
project, 哪个不是在背着你完成的？你不去和decision maker talk，他们也会talk
about you and decide on your piece, 不是吗？
你不参与没关系，别人会替你make decision的 （on your own piece): 比如你交多少
税，你的房子需要under rent control，比如你的孩子skin color在top university
over-represented, 等等，等等。 人称“被代表”，呵呵。
unfortunately, 这就是社会运转的规则,所以感慨一下...

on the menu and those serves the table.
