Background:
1.5 yrs work experience at a start-up, finally finishing up my MSEE at
a 2nd-tier school.
Thesis is on real-time scheduling(boring, I know). Experience with
wired and wireless networking, can code in C/C++ (not very skilled
though, but willing to study and prepare for interviews).
some knowledge on embedded linux and cross-platform development.
Excellent performance reviews from former employer, I quit because I
see no future in the company.
Looking to relocate to WA or CA early next year(or as soon as I'm done
with my thesis), you guys think I can find a job near Seattle?
preferably with a somewhat big company. I was just browsing MSFT's
openings, and it seems they only want EE's with 10+ years of experience
and a project portfolio, which I don't have.
I would like to avoid "naked running" because I can always go back to
my previous company and get my old job back, but if that's the only way
to get a semi-entry-level job out there, I will consider that too. | n*******9

coursework, s-parameter analysis, some biomedical engineering stuff
(microwave interaction with biological tissues), FDTD, but little to no
knowledge of antenna and RF circuit design, those things just don't
interest me very much.

for Boeing, I hear they hire basically anybody.

发帖数: 2443 | 7 No. If I did, I would've applied for positions at one of those
government contractors that came to our school to recruit couple weeks
ago. Actually a buddy of mine who works for Raytheon said they have
openings for people with skill-sets similar to mine. It's a shame I
can't work for them because their projects all sound really cool.
Raytheon doesn't pay that well though, for those of you who might be
curious, but the job security is there.
