这样的话咱们就可以团购一个围棋老师到家里来教了。
听说西雅图有棋院，但不方便。
有没有立志于培养下一代围棋高手的围棋高手？可不可以贡献自己的时间精力来教？当
然，润棋费自然是会考虑的。 ：）

We have two events this Sunday. The Monthly Ratings Tournament is at the Go
Center, starting at 1:00 p.m. You can play all three rounds, or fewer;
just tell our TD, John Hogan, what your plans are.
If you would rather teach, consider the Bunka no Hi (Culture Day). This
Sunday, November 7, we will be teaching Go and playing 13×13 games at the
Bunka no Hi celebration from 1-5 p.m. The festival is at the Japanese
Cultural and Community Center of Washington (JCCCW) at 1414 South Weller
Street, Seattle, WA 98144. Feel free to come down and help us out. More

Youth Go
The Seattle Go Center supports Go Clubs in the schools, and organizes four
Youth tournaments a year. This is in addition to teaching young players at
the Center on Tuesdays (3-9 P.M.) and Saturdays (1-5 P.M.)
School Go Clubs (last updated Oct 12, 2010)
The popular go club at Kimball Elementary (Seattle) will reconvene in the
fall of 2010. We will also be reviving the Go club at John Stanford
International School, starting on Wednesday, Oct. 20. The clubs at
Roosevelt High School (Seattle) and Meadowdale High School (Lynnwood) will
probably be meeting this fall, but the Go Center doesn’t have their
schedules yet. The Hamilton Middle School club (Seattle) may start up again
this winter. Almost all of these clubs will be associated with the after-
school programs at their schools.
The Go Center is very interested in starting up more school go clubs. We
find that this process usually this takes two leaders – a Go instructor and
an in-school organizer. We can usually provide the instructor from among
our Go Center staff and volunteers, but it is best to have a Go club
organizer who is already involved with the school. The organizer might be
a parent, staff member, or older student. They do not need to know how to
play Go; willingness to contribute some time to starting a Go club is
sufficient. In addition to an instructor, The Go Center can provide starter
equipment, and help with after-school program applications. Since we are a
501(c)(3) public charity, we can also do fundraising, pay instructors, and
pay employment taxes.
Yearly Youth Tournaments
Our four yearly Youth Tournaments are:
Iwamoto Youth 13×13 Tournament – Sunday, November 14, 2010
This is a beginner-friendly, handicapped tournament where everybody gets
prizes. The Tournament is free; pizza is $5.
Iwamoto School Team Tournament – a Sunday in January or February
Every team has three players. Official teams are all from the same school,
and have both boys and girls on the team. Unofficial teams are welcome too.
If you do not have a team, come anyway – we will put some unofficial
teams together the day of the tournament.
Cherry Blossom Youth Tournament - A Sunday in April at the Seattle Center
As part of the Cherry Blossom Festival, the Go Center will organize a 13×13
tournament and/or a 19×19 lightning tournament in the Seattle Center House
, near the Space Needle. (If there are enough kids, we will do both
simultaneously.)
Iwamoto Youth 19×19 Tournament – a Sunday in May
This is our most challenging youth tournament, but it is still kid-friendly.
All games are played to American Go Association ratings tournament
standards on 19×19 boards, so this tournament is better for more
experienced players. All players need to have a youth membership in the
American Go Association ($10).
This tournament has two divisions. The Open Division is played with all
even games, and has cash prizes. The Handicap Division has prizes for
everybody, with winners choosing first. Handicaps are determined by AGA
ratings, or by the Tournament Director. Prizes generally include books, Go
equipment and fun little things from around the world. | f********m

都快DOWN 了.
发自内心的喜欢真好!
我父母从未我的学习和业余爱好操心, 他们为扶养一大家人的吃饱穿暖已操劳很多了.
我真希望所有的孩子们做自己喜欢的事, 大人们也一样!

Here is a reminder that the Iwamoto Youth 13x13 Tournament is this Sunday,
Nov. 14, starting at 1:00 p.m. We play 4 rounds, and finish around 4:30 p.m
. The tournament is free and there are prizes for all, including a magnetic
go board, and a wooden go board with drawers for the stones. Pizza (two
slices) is $5. This is a beginner friendly event.

教他围棋。晋代的《博物志》中，记载有“尧造围棋，以教子丹朱”与“舜以子商均愚
，故伯围棋以教之”的记录。
围棋最早的可靠记载见于春秋时期的《左传》。“……大叔文子闻之曰：呜呼……
今宁子视君不如弈棋，其何以免乎？心不免矣！”，讲到某重臣立君后又打算废掉，正
如围棋的得而复弃。
早期围棋的棋盘规格多样，白先黑后，势子的摆放也多有不同。
先秦两汉期间，围棋常常与以掷色子为主的博戏并称为博弈，成为上层社会中常见
的游戏。但是，在西汉年间，以赌赛运气为主的“博”，远远流行于比赛智力为主的“
弈”。直到东汉，这种情况方才得到改善，围棋由于其与军事的类似，受到了日益重视
。班固的《弈旨》被认为是世界第一部围棋专业书籍，马融则在其《围棋赋》中首次提
出了“三尺之局兮，为战斗场”的思想，当时的著名人物，如曹操、孙策、王粲等，都
是围棋高手。
中国目前现存最早的棋谱是三国时的“孙策诏吕范弈棋图”。但是根据在东汉墓葬
出土的棋具和曹魏邯郸淳的《艺经》记载，这个时期的棋盘是十七道的，棋子也是方形
。因此，有人据此提出，“孙策诏吕范弈棋图”是后人假托。这个时期，在中国，对角
星的势子摆放已经固定。
南北朝时期，围棋在南方成为文人雅士的时尚活动，棋盘扩大到十九道，棋子仍为
方形。南朝设棋品制度和围棋州邑制度，将专业围棋手分为不同的级别，予以一定的待
遇。梁武帝亲做《围棋赋》，提倡围棋，使围棋进入了一个黄金时期。中国到了唐朝时
，围棋迅速发展。宫中设立了棋待诏一职，专门供养棋士陪皇帝下棋。王积薪是开元盛
世得第一国手，他总结出的围棋十诀：“不得贪胜，入界宜缓，攻彼顾我，弃子争先，
舍小就大，逢危须弃，慎勿轻速，动须相应，彼强自保，势孤取和”，被认为是围棋的
经典理论。传说中，“王积薪梦青龙吐棋经九部授己，其艺顿时精进”。唐朝天宝年间
，为躲避“安史之乱”，王积薪来到四川，遇到骊山老媪的婆媳对弈（传说）。宋朝的
《忘忧清乐集》记载了王积薪的“一子解双征”棋谱（有争议，一说是顾师言对日本王
子局）。
唐朝时期围棋传到了日本，由于日本统治集团的重视，围棋在日本得到了空前的发
展，并在清朝中后期逐渐超过了中国，在此后很长一段时间成为世界上围棋最强的国家
。以本因坊世家为代表的日本棋士将围棋技术提高到非常接近现代的水平。
宋代张拟模仿《孙子兵法》撰写了《棋经十三篇》，对后世的围棋理论及实践有深
远影响。北宋时期的刘仲甫对围棋著述甚多，有《忘忧清乐集》、《棋势》、《造微》
、《精理》、《棋诀》等。北宋时期的范仲淹、欧阳修、司马光、王安石、苏东坡、黄
庭坚等文人、忠臣，也都有很高的围棋造诣。
元朝的严德甫、晏天章编写了《玄玄棋经》，收录了前人大量的理论著述以及大量
围棋死活题、定式。
明末著名国手过百龄写下著名的《官子谱》，收录了各种围棋手筋。
清朝时期，围棋高手也层出不穷。康熙年间，黄龙士让徐星友三子大战数十局，写
下著名的《血泪篇》。乾隆四年(1741年)，施定庵与范西屏在浙江湖州下了著名的当湖
