But is anybody doing that? It's hard to say. The usual anecdotal indications
of consumer interest--Google search traffic and Twitter's list of trending
topics, for instance--don't show this overdue replacement for Microsoft's
failed Windows Mobile platform burning up the wires. More people appear to
be interested in a beta Web browser you can't even download without
requesting an invitation.
There has, however, been a fair amount of coverage today following my own
column and video and earlier reviews by the likes of the Wall Street Journal
's Walt Mossberg, the New York Times' David Pogue and Engadget's Joshua
Topolsky. In particular, I'd point you to the evaluations of the first three
WP7 devices--AT&T's Samsung Focus and HTC Surround, pictured above, and T-
Mobile's HTC HD7--by PCMag.com writer (and Post alumnus) Sascha Segan. If
you had a TV on early enough today, you could have also watched me talk
about WP7 on Fox 5's morning news show.
Looking over those other WP7 writeups reminded me of how difficult it can be
to summarize a new software platform's merits within a limited word count.
To meet my space budget, I had to leave out gripes like the WP7 Marketplace'
s unhelpful habit of showing both music and applications matching a query,
or Bing Maps' inability to provide the turn-by-turn or bicycling directions
available in Google Maps for Android.

这marketing team的人都吃饭的？号称上亿的推广费用干啥了都？
看看Google和Apple推出新产品时候的media coverage。微软marketing的人真是雇了一
群白痴。
Perhaps the reason web traffic stats show people are more interested in
anything but Windows Phone 7 today is that there is almost zero coverage of
today's US launch. I didn't find articles appearing until late this
afternoon. Curious, considering the phone flew off the shelves and sold out
in many European venues in the few weeks leading up to today.
Lest people accuse me of drinking a particular brand of sweetened instant
beverage, I have been waiting to see WinPhone7 in stores, so I can make a
much better decision between it, iPhone, and Android. No one platform has
yet to sell me on why I need to upgrade from my ordinary talk-n-text (SMS)
only cell phone to their device.

outperform the projection since the expection is so low. The numbers will
be out very soon. |

hour this morning. Pre-ordered one minutes ago.

desktop, 照样速度慢....
