This position is responsible for supporting, managing and implementing all
production and lower environment applications utilized by the company's
internal users and external customers within all business areas. This role
will ensure that Service Level and System Availability targets are
established and met while functioning as the Tier II/III application support
resource for defined application areas.
This position will utilize ITIL/SDLC frameworks and industry best practices
to support cost effective application solutions which include diverse
software/hardware technologies and tools.
Essential Functions:
-Develop, implement, and support next generation systems, architectures, and
applications.
-Provide vendor coordination and escalation for production related issues.
-Support and maintain configuration management.
-Support the business continuity strategy.
-Provide daily system/application administration.
-Monitor and proactively support system/application capacity planning and
analysis.
-Understand IT best practices around ITIL/SDLC frameworks.
-Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for defined applications.
-Research and evaluate alternatives in order to recommend the most efficient
and cost effective solution that meets business requirements and IT
standards.
-Provide direction and guidance to other Application Support Analysts.
-Provide management of licensing, system maintenance and equipment support.
-Provide ownership and accountability for incidents related to defined
applications
-Ability to troubleshoot to analyze, resolve and document reported incidents
.
-Ability to effectively communicate with Business Units, Team Leads and IT
Management to implement, support, and monitor defined applications.
Experience & Qualifications:
-Seven years in a technical IT role.
-Strong administrative knowledge of Microsoft server and web technologies.
-Experience supporting customer-facing, revenue generating systems or
applications requiring 24x7 availability.
-Experience optimizing and supporting web technologies.
-Some experience working with software development teams.
-Demonstrated technical leadership proficiency.
-Proficient at creating support documentation.
-Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills.
-Strong communication skills.
-Leadership in the deployment of world-class IT infrastructure.
-Ability to lead and motivate complex technical teams.
-Ownership and accountability for production level issues.
-Formal knowledge and practice of the Quality Process and Project Management
philosophies and principles
-Strong working knowledge of scripting languages and programming
methodologies.
Education and/or Certifications:
-Four-year degree in related discipline or equivalent working technical
experience.
-Continued training and study in Technology and Business Leadership.
-Technical training on UNIX, Windows platform design and support. |
