the problem for us in this country is
In the private sector, including Microsoft, google, ..... we sell ourselves
for a few bucks forever.
Every year, there is a performance review, every year, some body will be
let go.
One project after another, there is no end.
Our experience can only help us to find another job, but it is still a labor
, from junior labor to senior labor.
In China, once you have done several projects, you do not need to do the low
level coding again, you become so-called national expert, professor, ....
That is:
In China, your experience will help you NOT to work as a labor again, and
can retire gracefully;
In US, your experience will keep you in the qualified labor pool, to be a
labor again and again until you are kicked out by the employer, no

If you are an employer, you hire people to make money for you. You can
retire after you have made certain amount of money.
If you are an employee, you make money by working for other people. You may
not be able to retire until 80, and you might be dead before you can
