Position Overview:
The purpose of this project is to support/enhance the QA effort for our
automated system that allows us to bill our wholesale partners. In the past,
the process by which we billed our wholesale partners was all manual based
on the usage files that we get. Our mission is to provide notch test for our
system that takes in the usage information, pricing matrix and customer
account information from BOSS and Amdocs to produce a settlement table/
document/file that we can use to invoice all of our wholesale partners. This
will be done through automation and minimal manual testing.
All work will be done on our Windows 7 based laptops using .Net technologies
; most notably C#, ASP.Net and SQL. The front end to the system is written
in C# and ASP.NET. This is the part of the system that takes in the input
data from BOSS and Amdocs as well as usage data to produce intermediate
tables that are used in producing the output files used for billing our
wholesale partners. This front end also contains the portal to kick off the
process and produce reports. There are bug fixes, enhancements and code
requests that need to be serviced. This position will be central to provide
the Quality Assurance support for this system.
Specifically, this position will provide new QA code in SQL and C# to
support the following items for each wholesale partner:
* This data import processes
* The reporting processes
* The reporting presentation
* The web portal that is used by the business to initiate billing process
* The audit process
* Pricing validation
* Business rule validation
Because the offers and pricing plans differ per partner, the SQL automation
to validate this data will be done on a per partner basis. In addition to
using automation to validate the business rules and pricing, manual testing
will be performed when necessary.
Secondarily, this position will need to support our automation efforts. This
will be done primarily using C#. This will includes using the current UI
automation framework, expanding the capabilities of the framework, API
testing and contributing to test case construction to support the various
efforts in the IT organization.
Responsibilities:
* write/execute manual test cases
* develop automated scripts to validate settlement pricing/business rules on
a per partner basis
* Write test plans or assist in the creation of those plans
* Provide weekly status reports on work achieved, issues, challenges and
roadmap
* Provide or contribute to settlement project status
* Proficiently debug code
* Collaborate with QA, BA & PM to drive for clarity in ambiguous situations
* Vigorously review release specifications and provide feedback
* Contribute to the overall automation effort within IT through the
expansion of the UI Framework
* Write API tests when applicable
* Effectively contribute in a team environment
* Follow coding or technology standards
* Follow software development, QA and engineering best practices
Qualifications:
Strong C# and ASP.Net (4+ years)
Strong SQL (4+ years)
Strong Knowledge of QA processes and methodologies
Deep knowledge of code quality standards/measurements
Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and procedural programming
Experience using source control technology
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good time management skills
4+ years as an SDET providing automated
I need someone that is equally adept at SQL and C# with knowledge of QA.
