VW does require synthetic oil for turbo engine. The cost of synthetic oil
and filter together is more than $30. You got what you paid for if $30, non-
synthetic oil could results in very expensive oil sludge problem.
Bellevue VW dealer charges oil change around $50-$60, go for it.
I personally change engine oil by myself when the car is out of warranty.
Not mean to save money but to use better oil mobile 0w-40, which is TRUE
synthetic oil.
