with regard to 美国大兵, I am no longer... I am a proud veteran now.. ;-) I have been out of active reserve for 10 years now... joined the service in july 1993, 1 day after my 17th bday, making me probabaly the youngest sericeman, as 17 is the min. age for enlistment... I still remember my mom even cried on that day as she was signing the parental consent form, anyone under 18 needed one. I did my 8 years of active reserve and got out exactly 10 years ago this month... right before 9/11... I guess luck was my side.

shorted a bunch of covered calls for october at 8... just to get some
additional compensation... I think it would at least $7.5 by then.. |

revenue model is sound and it is very diversified, geographically as well as
its product offering. |

发帖数: 2719 | 16 just one more thing to consider about MS.. that is fund manager's mentality.
.
when a fund manager needs some exposure to the financial sector, there are
basically just 2 options, GS or MS... not only they are the benchmark for
the financial sector, right now, they are only 2 pure investment banks (teir
1) left.. in the past few years, if a manager wants to seek short exposure,
they would normally pick MS instead of GS, as GS has been doing way better.
.. Now since the entire financial sector has been depressed for so long, you
would see the reverse happening.. fund manager would start to seek long
exposures to the sector.. they would pick MS over GS this time.. as MS is
selling below the books while GS is still over.

income to 90%. will reduce index options to 5% again by EOD in anticipation
of Friday...
Friday is still far too uncertain for making big bets today.. QE3 is
unlikely, that everyone knows already. But no one knows what other tools FED
plan to unleash... If FED doesn't do anything, the market would certain go
down... walking on thin ice today and tomorrow morning until we start to see
more colors.. |

发帖数: 2719 | 19 the market is still pretty depressed in general this morning.. EXCEPT the
financial sector.
BAC is up 17%, MS comes 2nd at 8%... GS comes in last at 3%.. my gut feeling
was right.. fund managers are starting to want more long exposure to the
financial sector after the sector is down 20% ytd... MS is their top choice.
.. it is not as cheap as BAC, but no one had anticipated Buffett's move this
morning... |
