There are many trails for backcountry at Tahoe, and literally countless if
extend to Alpine county and other high Sierra...
But I have to say NorthStar is so much soso... I only like it in the summer.

而收工时候，又几乎能直接滑到车前。

skiing team racing there in weekdays. It is a small resort, but it offers a
bit of everything. Going there is like going home...

year. Will ski at Alpine meadow and homewood sometimes when they have $29
deal for locals. Will ski at Diamond peak for their $20lunch runs one or two
times. When time is right I would come to Snowbird/alta and JHole area. When
snow is super right I would probably visit CO resorts and Whistler. If I
happen to pass by I would ski at Mammoth for a few da

region. BTW, I went there as a side trip to my business trip, only needed to
pay for my skiing portion :)
I went there to ski Valle Blanche, but it was closed. So the resort I want
to go the most
is still Chamonix, to ski Valle Blanche. You will have to spend the entire
day ski down the run, a combination of "backcountry" and downhill. That
should interest Randonee.

the bus system was quite nice. The terrains in NS are a joke compared to
Heavenly,
plus you got the EPIC pass to boot. Can ski Vail resorts for free... One bad
thing about heavenly, windy quite often.

never be on my "world best ski resort" list. But it is still on my "most
liked" list. That's why it is like going home...
I would be strongly against the idea of flying to Tahoe just to ski at Rose!
But one day there is well worth it.

background hike and skiing, with clamp-ons and b/c training, etc. Up your

That's why we only bought season passes there before. Now it just doesn't offer
much unique things to us to justify the driving anymore. And south shore is
getting too crowded and messy...
I had so much fun at Heavenly...

I made the mistake of booking a trip down south for my daugher's spring
break week, did not expect so much snow. I hope to still see some snow when

just
right before I was about to skiied down the steep bowl, a guy jumped higher
and
over the edge, landed like 10 yards down the huge mogul field, with a couple
of turns, he was gone, impressed the hell of me.... That is what I'd call
jumping.

years of good snow and thought it was good :(
