following is the 2014
2014 MNB Lotto Drawing for Group and Schedule
Texas Lotto in ascending order on May 7
th Wednesday as posted on www.txlottery.org will be used for the
drawing.
Mock Lottery: 1-11-27-29-36-53 (used below as an example)
Tier #1: Tang, HCU
Tier #2. Yanhuang, HPR
Tier #3. Dragon, Tsinghua, UTSC
The seeding is based on the results of last year.
There will be two groups. Group I is the 3-team group. Group II is the 4-
team group;
First, one of three teams in Tier#3 will become the 4th team in the Group II
.
Use the last ball to decide the 4
th team of Group II. Divide the number by 3.
If the residue is 0, Dragon is the 4th team in Group II. Tier #3 will be
Tsinghua, UTSC in that order.
If the residue is 1, Tsinghua is the 4th team in Group II. Tier #3 will be
Dragon, UTSC in that order.
If the residue is 2, UTSC is the 4th team in Group II. Tier #3 will be
Dragon, Tsinghua in that order.
For the mock lottery above, the last ball is 53, the residue is 53/3 ->2.
UTSC will be the 4th team in Group II.
Tier #1: Tang, HCU
Tier #2. Yanhuang, HPR
Tier #3. Dragon, Tsinghua
Tier #4, xxx, UTSC
Note that xxx is a virtual team in Group I for drawing and game schedule
purpose.
Second, we will use our MNB Lotto convention to determine grouping.
(1) The first ball decides tier #1:
If it is an even number, Tang is in group I and HCU is in Group II.
If it is an odd number, HCU is in group I and Tang is in Group II.
(2) The second ball decides tier #2:
If it is an even number, Yanhuang is in group I and HPR is in Group II.
If it is an odd number, HPR is in group I and Yanhuang is in Group II.
(3) The third ball decides tier #3:
If it is an even number, Dragon is in group I and UTSC is in Group II.
If it is an odd number, Tsinghua is in group I and Dragon is in Group II.
For the mock lottery above, 1-11-27 are used to determine grouping. They are
all odd numbers.
