we did cut some pictures, compress style sheet, keep java scripts to minimal
to optimize the loading speed.

we used the same font/font size as wall street journal, bigger than new york
times font,
we will keep your suggestion in mind in case we need to change the font.

我觉得用它的架构，加各种widgets， 在导几个模板，
也行。
google labs很多应用也是用它自己的blogger， 觉得那个集成新鲜事物更容易些。
不是说你的不好，是说没那么impressive.
而且据我观察，未必多，新的web 风格是类似这种布局

we used Wordpress default 2010 theme,
the original 2010 theme is very pretty,
but we have to cut the header image to speed up loading time.

development, I am doing search in Python code, it is not scalable at all. I
have another website: passmeword.com, it needs some update, to use SSL. I am
not a web deveoper, just want to design something I can use.
I am not sure what colour you want to use, there are a few colour design
website. You may just steal colour scheme from websites you like. I think it
is better to change the background of the box instead of the text
