K***a 发帖数: 72 | 1 我是用SAS Eminer做model,不是很精通response model,但知道大概过程,
想知道在做法上或结果上,response model和look-alike model有什么不同? | s*********e 发帖数: 1051 | 2 both response and look-alike models are just buz terms. essentially, they
are logit models. the difference is how to define modeling population and
objectives. | K***a 发帖数: 72 | 3 Thank you for your reply, exactly what I was looking for. Is it possible for
you to give some example/document to define look-alike modeling population
and objectives?

look-alike model is descriptive with the purpose of profiling.
response models, for example, are built directly off promotional files and
corresponding responder information.
look-alike models, on the other hand, are not based on promotional
information. Instead, they evaluate how similar in appearance each
prospect is to a direct marketer's customers, in an indirect attempt to
capture the dynamics of response behavior. | K***a 发帖数: 72 | 5 Thank again for your answer!
Then when prepare the model data, do we still assign a dependant/target
variable a value of 1 or 0?
