pharmaceutical this summer, and do not like it that much. I am interested in
finding a job in financial area related to statistics. Anyone working in
financial area majored in statistics give some advice? like, what kind of
job fits me? How should I prepared to get a job?

， 不过那可是和专业/研究方向联系紧密的 |

根据版上某在华尔街大牛的说法
统计运用的比较多的是commercial bank的risk management
和保险公司里面actuarial modeling
这俩其实和药厂pay的都差不多

去了才能知道金融行业到底怎么样，有机会可以去做别的部门，有点像敲门砖的感觉 |

some interview for you that matches your background. I think some
preparation ahead is necessary if you want to pursue a career in this field,
e.g., try to get a couple of internship done before graduation and improve
the relevant technical skills (programming, some general sense of financial
mkt). As to the opportunity for stats, what I felt now is that there is some
surging demand for people who can analyze huge data

IB更加激烈。如果lz没什么这方面的工作/intern经验，恐怕非常难。
