2) R to visualize, re-code, and explore variables in a real-world financial
underwriting data set from an online financial institution
3) Walking through one Kaggle.com Competition data from beginning to end (
using R to build your own tree model, generate & submit your own prediction
scores)
4) a quick demo on Hadoop File System, Hive and Python streaming.

Here is how my students grasp Python/R in two hours -
1) After a student registers, he/she will be receive pre-class installation
instructions, and class materials (including entire deck for class, real-
world data files, hands-on exercise/code) prior to class. Students can
study thoroughly prior to class). You can email me any time with questions
before class.
2) Python and R, each is a vast topic. In my class, we focus on Python & R
data science capabilities. We stay laser-focused on real-world practices in
data science field. (Unlike generic Python training classes, we do not have
to worry about things such as drawing button on a canvas, or building a
calculator). Upon leaving my class, students will have gained capability
toread in data files in Python & R, and to perform summarization &
visualization of data.
3) Students can re-take the class one more time (free of charge) if he/she
likes.
