Position: Statistical Consultant Lead – Enterprise Analytics
Position Description:
Equifax has a new career opportunity for a Statistical Consultant Lead to
manage a group of SAS programming experts in our Enterprise Analytics
business unit. In this exciting position, you will have opportunities to
explore different data sources across Equifax to develop new data attributes
to be used in a variety of statistical models.
Responsibilities Include:
• Operational Leadership:
Management and support/training of 2-4 associates and summer interns (1
remote) which includes weekly & monthly check ins and progress reports, sign
off on time off, time sheets and training as well as recruiting &
interviewing responsibilities. Leading attribute development projects,
attribute maintenance, use cases and white paper and work with model
implementation teams to ensure our solutions get implemented correctly. Work
with internal and external customers including Product Managers to
coordinate the business requirement and timeline. Lead 2-4 associates
directly and provide technical or programming guidance. Effectively
communicate across the teams and provide strategic solution options.
• Client Support:
Collaborate and support various internal clients and stakeholders such as
Product Development, Technology Group, Model Governance/Compliance, USCIS
and KCP/FSG. Provide timely progress updates, manage projects, define
business objectives and oversee workflow and quality as it relates to
definition, management and assessment of attribute codes specific to EFX.
• Strategic Initiatives:
In collaboration with internal and external clients drive solution focused
research & development projects to support business growth/efficiency. E.g.
Cambrian Initiative, attribute development projects, model automation tool
development.Support the NPI process with feasibility analysis, prototype
models and full new product deliverables.
Position Justification:
• 10+ years of SAS programming in an analytics or database
management capacity.
• At least 5 years of experience working with analytics in a
business environment.
• At least 3 years of experience managing team of analytical
professionals/SAS/R Programmers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the
ability to interact with multiple departments in solving cross-departmental
issue.
• Excellent SAS programming skills in SAS Macro language and
Analytics, Base SAS, SAS/STAT, SAS/GRAPH, etc. SAS certification is a plus.
• Experience in the credit, fraud, collections and/or
marketing analytics arena is preferred.
• Understanding, design and development experience in SAS base.
• Knowledge of credit bureau, macroeconomic, housing and/or
demographic data is preferred.
• Master's degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics,
Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics or other related discipline
; or equivalent work experience is required.
• Experience with SAS and with UNIX environment is preferred.
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Experience with R/WPS and other statistical packages a plus.
• C++/SQL/JAVA programming a plus.
• Detail oriented, proactive, efficient with ability to
accurately gather and analyze data.
• Ability to clearly present statistical solutions to non-
statistical people.
• Ability to create new ideas for statistical solutions to
customer’s business issues. |
