AMR以上几点都比LCC好，就是工资成本有点问题。有很多包袱要甩掉。 |

最近amr 召回了几年前被雷的空乘。。。这代表什么?

at $4~5, at that time AMR is around $5, I then bought some AMR in very
small position at $6.
Time pass by, I sold my LCC and UAL recently, sold LCC at $10, and UAL
at $26, guess what happened to AMR, $7 stock, rise less than 50% from 1
and half years ago.
Time is also money and it is even more valuable than cash.
Based on the past two years performance of airline stocks, AMR is a
loser compare to its peers.
If you keep holding a loser for years, then it is a not good stock or
company to invest, even trade.
Airline is a very low margin industry, by making a few billions revenue,
it barely make money.
Buy airline stocks at middle of 2009 is a value buy, coz lots of
companies are so cheap at that time. that's why we can make money from
it. But the strategy doesn't work now anymore.
Stocks are more expensive and high PE now. Speak of airlines, you can
not expect oil go back to $50 soon like what it did two years ago, so
that airline can not make huge profit based on the real status now, do
not forget they all raised fees already, they all cut capacity already,
what else is left to squeeze the cost to make high margin then? It is
hard for airlines to make another magical growth?
How can then the stocks give you guys sweet return then?

amr好多了。至于不hedge oil，到现在来说lcc的这个策略算是很成功，毕竟option不
便宜，当其他各航空公司在用83-85左右hedge的油的时候，lcc用的是70多的油。这几
个月油价高，lcc会亏一些。未来油价很难说，涨的话lcc会亏更多，但不涨的话成本优
势就会更大
