Whatever happens, it is time to buy gold when it dips. The current national
expense could not be sustained without a major cut from medicaid, social
security and military expenses and a substantial increase of revenue from
taxes.
The current political agenda from GOP is to vote out Obama for the coming
election. I strongly doubt they will reach a bi-partisan agreement on any
debt solution at this point. Deep government spending cut is a complete
political fiasco for Obama to offset his political asset on the medicare act
. GOP simply wants to see his fall.
Even if they pass a bill on increasing the debt ceiling without substantial
income over debt, the rating agencies will downgrade US debt rating from AAA
to AA+.
