所以把很多short从IB转到TDAmeritrade，省点利息。
TDAmeritrade关于short sell的说明
If the lending brokerage firm requests that the borrowed shares be returned,
your brokerage firm must buy in the shares which you are short, close out
your short position, and deliver those borrowed shares back to the lending
brokerage firm regardless of the profit or loss to you. There can be no
guarantee that the brokerage firm can continue to maintain a short position
for a unlimited duration of time.
有没有人碰到过突然某一天short sell被要求强行cover的? |

theretically they can force to cover at any time they want. in reallity it
usally happen at the worst time againt you: when the price increase a lot
and the owner want to sell to take profit (which is your big loss). then
there are no stocks for the broker to lend to you.

they can not warn ahead actually, because they dont have control on it. once
the underlying security is gone, it is illegal to keep the naked short
position.
