the normal distribution assumes the variable
can take on both positive and negative values.
Possiant distribution is more appropriate here
since it is count data with small probabilities.
I can help u with the calcluations if you want,

我这个计算确实太粗糙了，但得到的结论有一定的合理性，误差不会超过50%吧？

so the conclusion is: if only 4750 people starved to death in one year

不过与附加条件不符。
平均每天34，明天18的概率确实也是0.001。
但是他的意思是18个是多了，平时没有这么多，虽然每天都有。
所以，从明天18个的概率是0.001，我们可以有2个解，每天平均8个，和34个。
根据边界条件，每天平均8个是正确解。 |

18显然是最大一天。那么平均每天死人可能也就是1到2个。甚至0.1 到0.2，看系数C了。
