1. Whenever I go to its Olive Garden
restaurant, it always has very good business.
2. Compare with CMG, CMG operates 1230 fast food restaurant, have market
capitalization of $10.0B, P/E ratio to be 36.3x, dividend rate to be 0; DRI
operates 1961 restaurants fine dine-in restaurants, has market
capitalization of $6.1B, P/E ratio to be 13.5x, dividend rate to be 4.23%.
3. Its stock price just had a big drop on 12/4/2013, mainly it is because
its buying Yard House and poor previous k-8 report, I do not think it
affects DRI's fundamental, I think its stock price will go up very soon.
4. Its volatility is around 22.55, within my tolerate heart-beat scope. :) |

How about cost? red lobster hired nice chicks served me a good lunch with
nice decoration, but I paid 15 dollars
At CMG.The total # employees is 7, they served several hundred guys with 9
dollars lunch.

Clearly, A is better.
Also, we can see EPS 5 is decent at general stock, however,it is not that
good for a 50 B oil company.
APA's yearly EPS is around 8, which is about EPS 2 or 3 for PAA |

if you want to Chao a stock because it drops much and seems like hit the
bottom, in the first entry you buy some small amount of OTM calls that
expire in 2 months. If it shoots up, take happy profit (but be patient, at
least wait your call rises 50%). If it gives another drop, normally that is
when the real panic comes. Of course, your calls become toilet paper, but
you don't lose a lot. Now, buy stocks and hold. If it drops another leg, add
and pray!
Of course, you should only buy good stocks, not stocks like solar etc.
Like any trading strategy, the hardest part is to execute it strictly.

restaurants in single digit in the near future and comp sales stays flat or
slightly increase. So the current P/E of 13 is appropriate. The only bright
spot is probably the >4% dividend. If DRI drops to P/E <10, it will be a
good entry point. You get at least 20-30% margin of safety.

if you want to Chao a stock because it drops much and seems like hit the
bottom, in the first entry you buy some small amount of OTM calls that
expire in 2 months. If it shoots up, take happy profit (but be patient, at
least wait your call rises 50%). If it gives another drop, normally that is
when the real panic comes. Of course, your calls become toilet paper, but
you don't lose a lot. Now, buy stocks and hold. If it drops another leg, add
and pray!
Of course, you should only buy good stocks, not stocks like solar etc.
Like any trading strategy, the hardest part is to execute it strictly.

Charlotte NC and loved it. However, I am troubled by the cut-throat
competition in casual restaurant business. Put it in a simple way, when I
want to eat out in American restaurant, it is hard to differentiate Olive
Garden, Longhorn, Friday, Apple Bee, Outback, Texas Road House. Any my kids
love Bagaboo, BTW. So what's the competitive advantage of DRI? I am having a
hard time to figure this out.

lose opportunity to make money. So the main purpose of the first entry of
buying calls is just to give self some patience because you can still make
some money if it does bounce back. The second and third entries are the real
ones to make big money. I did this last year on Ntes.

restaurants in single digit in the near future and comp sales stays flat or
slightly increase. So the current P/E of 13 is appropriate. The only bright
spot is probably the >4% dividend. If DRI drops to P/E <10, it will be a
good entry point. You get at least 20-30% margin of safety.

no智慧, no智慧, bought the stock at high price, waited hard for the stock
price bounce back, then sold DIM covered calls too early, while the average
price is $47. I did not make a lot while the stock price goes high. Still a
learning frog in stock market.
