is around $400 now...and predicted to drop to $300. The profit margin impact
is about 33%. (About 20%, if we consider other revenues) But of course the
further the drop, the bigger the impact.
But at the end of the day, at current consumption rate (~50M tons) and
allows 2% increase per year because more fertilizer is actually needed each
year to get the same crop yield. The current reserve of Potash will be gone
in 70-80 years, when our kids are may still be alive.
But all animals and vegetables need potash. We humans are, for example,
approximately 1% phosphorus by body weight. So what happens after that for
the food price is anyone's guess. Maybe Malthus was right! He only got his
timing wrong...which is terrible if he is a stock trader.

one crop can be planned during a year, where nowadays MON has a direct
impact). I can talk more about this but I don't think this board is the
right audience.
