WASHINGTON (AP) -- Urgent efforts to prevent an economy-tanking national
default rose and then retreated with astonishing swiftness on Thursday, as
House Republicans softened their long-standing demands and the White House
appeared agreeable to a compromise, only for Senate Democrats to declare it
unacceptable.
"Not going to happen," declared Majority Leader Harry Reid, standing outside
the White House after he and fellow Democrats met with President Barack
Obama. Reid referred to a Republican plan to leave the 10-day partial
government shutdown in place while raising the nation's $16.7 trillion debt
limit and triggering negotiations between the GOP and Obama over spending
cuts and other issues.
Heartened by any hint of progress, Wall Street chose to accentuate the
positive. After days of decline, the Dow Jones industrial average soared 323
points on hopes that the divided government was taking steps to avoid a
default. Reid's dismissive comments at the White House came at the end of
the trading day. |

FAZ and FAS are 3X leveraged Exchange Traded Funds related to Russell 1000
Financial Services Sector index. They are somewhat similar to Put and Call
Options for the Financial Sector. If you get your timing right. Then you can
make a lot of money. But if you get your timing wrong, then you can loose a
lot of money.
Basically, you need to buy FAZ when the Financial Sector is about to crash
and burn. And you need to buy FAS when the Financial sector is about to
receive massive amounts of taxpayer money from the government.

发帖数: 4984 | 17 我玩FAS/FAZ至少有4年了，可能5年，赚了不少， 也亏了很多。 不需要解释理由，一
般情况下FAS/FAZ和大盘呈正比例关系，虽然是金融股。 玩这种股票是赤裸裸的赌博，
我愿意玩， 愿赌服输，但是现在这点跌幅，似乎根本没有看出方向。
