1. I am only interested in those below $10 stocks, unless I have been
following some into the $10 to $20 dollars category, like RMTI...
2. high price ($84 from $40 in 52 weeks) with low 3 months volume (870)...
feeling like someone fishing there...I don't gamble on this type of stocks.
Like RMTI, I did not catch the bottom, but when the news coming out and
price up to $4.66, I started to buy due to my medical background, which I
knew there is no reason for this stock to go back in certain period of time
(It just liked ACAD, very much alike so far)...In a word, before trying to
make money, I'd like to reduce the chance of losing money, so risk
management is always my top consideration in stock market, even though I did
not make 80% this year due to my risk management procedures, 30-40% is good
enough for a 2nd year stock player.
3. the news list is not attractive so far, mostly from Zacks, which is not
even close to what I could count on...
so I would like to forget about it.

long halo and plan to add more, could you please help me evaluate it a bit.
I got the idea from my friend who has some indirect background knowledge. is

potential changing directions of the current point on the chart!
For this "attractive" chart, it should be on my potential short stock list!
But I will not short this one because I don't want to waste time with this
fisher(s) as they have more money to play with...

so far successful for me, other than acad, anac, rmti, another very
successful one is exas, when they release their news on 4/18 (the first time
I used this strategy,and a good date to remember...) price down to $6.93
from 10 (a wall street fisher tried his trick by releasing unprofessional
news) and I realized it a good news (biology, surgery and statistical
background/knowledge) and bought at 7.18 and after a quick home works, I
bought more at 7.88 about 1 hour later and told my wife to buy as long as it
below $8, and it reached back to $9 in a week...sold half and still holding
the rest waiting for FDA approval...
there are some failed stories as well, like arna, it should be over $10 now,
but the hedge fund has been playing a big role bashing it for so long...
fortunately it touched the bottom recently....I have learned some great
lessons in the past year---it is a fun game 4 life...

it's so sad that it appears that I lack all that needed to play medical
stocks.
however, your point of watch out/find the reversal point is truly something
that sparked my thinking, this is something I can work on hopefully from
chart.
please can you please help me take a look at halo, I am blindly betting on
it. I did read the stories for hours on halo, but only from the other
authors, I just could not judge it myself.

" for me to get in. I know it never late in stock market, but based on "
buy low and sell high", I don't want to touch it any more since there are
lot of fishes in the sea...
Another reason I don't want to buy stock like HALO now because the stock
market is too high now, another down is predictable even though it may not
happen next week (I hope so), that is why I don't suggest you buy any up
trend stocks now, wait for their down with big stock market and find a time
to buy in. In a long run, 15 might not be high, it might go up to 100, but
for me, I don't want to take the gambling now, that was why I just bought
AEZS at 1.03--even the big market down, it will not down much, but might
even up since it has been down too much--you know, just a feeling and I am
just following my heart, hard to say right or wrong, just wait and it all
depends on how long we wait....

en, what you said about the market is also what I have been concerned about.
however, it's hard to time the market, my way of trying to solve this
problem is to run fast, if there's a big down day occur on the stocks that I
own, I'll be out of it.
I used to play low price stocks, like, sid, nbg, x, anr, wlt, mcp etc. some
gains some losses. however, I changed my style recently, that is only buy up
trend and price in historical high range. in general what I found is the '
strong' stock in up trend has more tolerance on down side, for example, cmg,
it went down big, however, it came backup. on the other hand, if it's low
price stock, it would down bigger when market goes down, and when it tries
to climb back up, it will face all the selling along the way.
your knowledge and recognition on market will sure help you be more
successfully on low price stocks with huge gains. I sure envy you. :)
for halo it's my long term bet, I'll hold on to it then if long term it is
good, however, if market goes against me, I'll do my best to get out early.
I took a look at AEZS, boy the chart looks 'ugly'. and it even has a reverse
split, just the kind of stock that I'll avoid. aren't we so different.

you may need to choose a time frame for any 目標價, I guess...
Just because ARIA is so popular recently with a I called "so-so" news, I'd
tend to think of shorting it if it goes higher further...
Recently people are crazy and you can see some stocks almost doubled with
some so-so news and down a bit at the end of day, great short term
opportunity for short, esp, when you agree that the market is too high which
will collapse any time as predicted by the Nobel prize winner...just my
thought.

I sold halo along with other stocks today. all out now. this batch of stocks
that I got in couple of days ago were way too late. I'll listen to your
advice on waiting for a correction and get in on a better entry point. I
need to be more patient. got bite too many times on not waiting for the
proper entry points.
