In 2012, it claimed $170 billion in sales, more than eBay and Amazon
combined. A company executive said earlier this year that Alibaba expects
to triple its transaction volume to about $490 billion by 2016, overtaking
Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT) as the world’s biggest retailer.
The South China Morning Post reported this week that British Prime Minister
David Cameron, in a private meeting, personally appealed to Ma to launch his
IPO in London rather than New York or Hong Kong. In its public statement,
the company stressed Cameron’s interest in Alibaba as a platform for sales
of British goods to Chinese consumers.

需要考虑实质价值。因为人民币对内贬值，对外升值。因此国内厂家的流水换成美元都

性垄断。它并不直接提供商品，所以它没有walmart， amazon的烦恼，库存物流啊，资
金流啊，等等，反而能从中盈利，它提供基础设施服务，类似电力公司，商家一般要付
出10%的销售额作为这个服务的付费，因此可以比较容易的计算出阿里巴巴的收入，比
