Instructors are students from U of C.
He is becoming fearless gradually, but still can't swim even 1meter. I guess
I need to bring him to swimming pool more often. However I am not that good
yet, I worried I might not be a good coach for my son.

发帖数: 559 | 6 5 years old is a perfect age to learn swimming. I taught child and infant
swim long time ago. My guess is that either the class your 5 years old took
was too big, the level of swimming skill were too spread out or the
instructors did not conduct their lesson properly. As a result, your kid
did not get the proper attention and did not progress as planned.
You don't have to be an expert to teach basic beginner freestlye but you
will need to have patient and a lesson plan. In addition, the wate

发帖数: 559 | 8 BASIC FRONT CRAWL/FREESTYLE LESSON
The pool water level should be between waist high and chest high
This informal lesson plan should be adjusted according to the skill and
progress of each individual
Please ensure playing/practice time at the end of lesson for the children so
it is not all work and no play
Google any terms that you are not familiar with so you know what it looks it.
Holding Breath:
Both arms holding on the side of the pool
>Blow bubbles with lips in the water (5 times)

I am going to focusing on the float and keep body warm first. it looks my
son can easily feel cold in the pool. This might influence his ability to
concentrate.
also, is 狗刨式the easiest way to learn for kids?

1) The dog paddle is optional.
It is just a way of building confident for the beginner in the water.
It is easier to learn how to breathe out of the two strokes.
I used to have a student struggled to learn to breathe on freestyle until I
taught her the dog paddle.
2)The ideal temperature for the kids probably should be 5 degree higher then
normal and the lesson shold be an hour or less.

For little kids like this age, class won't help that drastically. What kids
need are time and patient.
Take her to pool as frequently as can. To be a company with her. Go grab a
kicking board and soar the laps with her. Let her have fun and show her how
you swim. Once they gradually make their bodies get going in the water,
then work on their breath.
And then there is one day, all of a sudden, they will start to breath.By
