gain tax。不过因为金额比较大(~$200K)几乎一定是会被IRS audit的。想请问一下这
个还钱需要gift tax么?一般需要怎样的证件手续?

J*****i 发帖数: 2622 | 11 I assume that what you mean to do is to transfer the appreciated stocks to
whoever loaned you money to buy the house. If you have proof of inital
borrowing, i don't think the repayment is subject to income/gift tax.
Otherwise, it might look like a gift. Currently you can gift $13K per
receipent per year, or $26K if you are married and your wife agrees to do it
, without filing gift tax return. Anything about that, you need to file a
gift tax return. Assuming you made no substantial gift before, you will be
able to use your $1M of life-time gift credit and pay no gift tax out of
pocket this year.
