请问，
1.可以claim child as dependent吗？
2.可以claim $1000 child credit吗？
之所以有此疑问，是因为1040instruction上提到孩子必须在US半年以上，不知是否可

than 6 months before he/she can be claimed as dependent. I wonder whether
this only applies some special circumstances.

还管你孩子在哪里。不要看EXCEPTION了，上面说的生死之类的，跟你估计没什么关系。
