have a green card, but for tax purpose, I file resident tax.
For tax year 2012, I am filing resident tax. I have been on H1 since October
2012 and was a F1 holder before that. Do I need to pay social security and
medicare taxes?
To take the question even further, for tax year 2011, do I need to pay
social security and medicare taxes? I also filed resident tax for that year.
The only difference is that I was on F1 visa the whole year. I was a
student for half a year and worked for half a year using my OPT.
Thanks for reading. I'd appreciate any information. | P****1 发帖数: 2670 | 2 full-time学生和non-resident不用交,其他人都要。 |
