The report said the obvious. Pres. Ma campaigned on a promise to ahieve 6%
GDO, every year for four years. A month after inauguratio, the Ma
administration revised the figure to 5%, which is now unattainable.
My comment: Pres. Chen stepped down on May 20, 2008. He was responsible for
1/2. Pres. Ma naturally claims credit for Q1, 2008. So his 6%, or | c****t

The first press release was titled "國民所得統計及國內經濟情勢展望: 預測97年
經濟成長4.30％，每人GNP 1萬8,883美元，CPI上升3.74％；96年每戶家庭可支配所得
92.4萬元，5等分位所得差距5.98倍。" In page 1, it said that the actual GDP
growth rate for the first quarter, 2008 (when Chen Shui-bian was president)
had been revised upward to 6.25% (from rough estimate 6.06% reported three
months ago)
