video at the current position you stop at.
For 1 set game, you need probably 15 minutes for the editing. But I think
it's well worth it because every time you watch it later, you don't have
to 煎熬 over the dead-ball time.

2. split that video into multiple pieces, some are good balls, some are
dead balls scenes.
3. only drag those good ball scenes into the timeline.
4. save.

wasting time to do cherry pick at all.

format.

is not as good as multiple pass. Of course you need to
install some codecs first

hehe. Much more user friendly on the operations.
virtualdub is for people who care about highest video quality.

I compressed need days on my quard core PC. Seems there
are still bugs there and it can not use all the cores
even turn that on.

Virtualdub series are not difficult to use, just need
time to learn how to use. After you know how to use
them, it is very easy and powerful

Maker.
For the same wmv codec, it takes significantly shorter time
to compress in Movie Maker than in virtualdub. Also the generated
file size is much smaller in Movie Maker with the same bit rate
(virtualdub seems only support .avi files). For regular video
uploads to youtube or email to friends, these are the two
important aspects that I care most, hehe. So I switched to
Movie Maker.

In Movie Maker, if I also choose 1Mbps, the final file is about
half the size (.wmv). I don't know what causes that since .avi
is supposed to be more space-saving. Maybe M$ did some optimization
there. (btw movie maker has very few choices for you to pick.
There are like 10 choices in a drop down menu. You can't input
the bit rate you want.)

compression. Something is wrong: either virtualdub
generated 2Mbps avi or movie maker generated .5 Mbps
one. You can simply calculate actual output file bps:
file size (in bytes) * 8 / video length (in second)
When I use virtualdub, I normally set 1.5 Mbps, the
output video bps is almost exact 1.5 Mbps.

2 minute video. In virtualdub I even chose 1-pass, 2-pass,
variable rates, but all resulted in similar sizes. In movie
maker, no options, just either 1mbps, 2mbps, 150kbps, etc.
That's not the biggest issue. I just couldn't stand the speed of
compression in virtualdub, hehe. It feels like 5 times slower
than movie maker, //sigh...
