that the clip is short.
Also, I don't get a 5.0 guy plays in leagues. If somebody is 5.0, they might
get more 刺激 to play in a futures tournament. Oh, well... |

There are a lot college players playing in the futures and qualies for these
tournaments. Even those qualies are very competitive and tough to get
through. Many of them are second or third players in their teams and are
probably 5.0s.
I can see why some 5.0s won't play in these tournaments because they are no
longer as committed as before.

and earn enough money to cover their travel expenses. Traveling
somewhere and losing either in 1st round or 2nd is not typically
an exciting life...
2nd or 3rd singles in a Div I team is typically a 5.5.

for sectional so cc's 9.0 team advanced to sectional.
However, they can not find enough people to play sectional
and had to default. I heard that because of those 4.5/5.0
guys are teaching pros and they did not want to lose income
for playing sectional :P

which teams were those. The NYC 9.0 team won that
sectional. Their pairs were all 5.0 woman + 4.0 men.

the lady at 5.0, hehe. The order of computation is:
1) I first observed the near court lady and decided she is 5.0.
2) I then looked at the far court guy. He could be either 4.5
or 5.0. Many Americans have strong serves so it could be deceptive.
He had a few lousy returns and I eventually gave him 4.5.
3) I then looked at the far court lady and thought she is too good
for 4.0 (esp. that slice). So 4.5 too.
4) Based on 1-3, I then gave th
