couldn't find the manual online anymore.
I wonder if drop weight stringer need tensions calibrate. I always think my
tension is looser than what the scale shows. So I string it much higher than
most of you guys, about 72lb.
I have used Syn Gut until recently. I have prince speedport red open frame. |

72lbs on that particular machine, then just keep doing it.
my machine is very loose too, i have to string mine at 69lbs, which probably
equal to 55lbs or lower from a pro shop machine. |

stringers do need tension adjustment? The scale on it should mean sth
afterall.
BTW, you have very nice ground strokes. Very relax and with power. |

right next to the clamp when you unwind the arm, and feel if the string

on the string keep in place while I unwind. So it probably fine.

When I ask for string job in pro-shop, at least I would like to know my real
tension preference.....That is my concern.

I was thinking about the string (syn guy). it is kind of stretchy. Do you
wait for the weight to get to the level for several second or you
immediately clamp it.
Any other DIY stringers have the same concerns?

set tension when the bar is horizontal, the tension will be off if it's not
. so to calibrate, you first have to make sure the bar of horizontal first.
if you have to set the tension way higher than usual, then you should check
your clamp or tensioner to see if the string is slipping.
in my case, the clamps move in their bases to much, but i can adjust by
setting the reference tension higher, so i didn't bother try to fix them. |

发帖数: 6788 | 23 Someone posted a video showing him stringing a racket on a Gamma X-2. Take
a look at how he pulls with the tension arm and gripping wheel to keep the
arm level. It's not a problem if the arm is at a slight angle. Someone did
a calculation a while back that some slight angle has very minimal impact
on the pulling strength.
I still think the issue is with the clamps, particularly because you said it
's a few years old. Where you clamp also makes a difference. Clamp right
next to the frame instead of in the middle.

without being used, I have no idea about this until I bought this app.

then really find out when my raquest is dead.

All I care is 不走线。。。My 38 lbs (my estimate) full-poly
racket 走线 like crazy.
So next time instead of 55 lbs, I will string it to 65 lbs.
Another tip: I tried 2 poly strings so far. For 1 string,
55 lbs becomes 50-55 lbs; the other, 38 lbs (the 2nd string
is much more sticker, even made loud sounds when I pull it)...
Because of this, I don't buy it that a tension scale would help
much.
