serve.the wind was blowing my blx90 sideway like a fan.
i hit a slice serve 50 mph and the second bounce was inside the baseline. it
was an ace on match point. everybody laughed.

high-hand from last years didn't play either. they have lots of 3.0 to 3.5
players too. actually they barely beated 3rd and 4th, both by 3-2. the 2nd
may win more sets than them.

发帖数: 234 | 14 Zan, I guess NewYorker's famous volley and taking the ball early are less
affected by the wind gust.
We played a Tri-level match on Saturday in 20mph+ wind too. Opponents were
strong players and our captain called it a "must win" match to keep the lead
for going to sectionals.
My partner and I use those strategies to beat them 6-2, 6-0. (1) since wind
is side way, play every shot in the middle of the court, no dlt shots. (2)
no defensive lob, only play topspin offensive lob or no lob. (3) toss ball
lower in the serve. (4) stand very very close to net because the opponents
can not lob us successfully neither. (5) poach more than usual to force
opponents into low-percent dtl shots or lob.

以也能弥补你反手的弱点。多练半场截击，就是咱们练的。不要离网太近，尽量把球打
深，同时过网不要太高

out to the the eventual champ 2-3 two years in a row.
the defending champ were stunned and did not know what hit them. they were
completed unprepared. between their men's #1,2,3 courts, they only managed
to get 2 games from us. 6-1, 6-0, 6-1. haha...

but it sure helps a great deal with young enforcers like Bill and his team-
mates on our team. this year is the first year I did not have to play every
match and did not end up cramping.
we did also lost a few good players this year, Bill's co-captain,(tennis
elbow) Ding,(travelling to China) Kim(relocated to Denver).
other than the ones you mentioned here, the rest of players are 3.0 -3.5.
Our captain was so relax and thinking of the title was already ensured after
the convincing win against the defending champ she casually put up the next
2 line up in an attemp to play everyone on the team, that almost cost us
the Edison and Bridgewater matches. Originally I was thinking of only
playing the first 3 matches, but after 2 close calls, we did not want to
take any more chances against your team, which at the time was also
undefeated. Your captain was also very serious and he wasn't happy when he
overheard that I was to play the mix. haha...
anyway, who from your team took a point from us? your capt and acc28? i left
right after my mixed match and didn't know about the stories afterward,
including the ID checking part, haha... i was ranning late for a wedding
party.
