发帖数: 30533 | 4 Pronation从物理上降低旋转。唯一的目的就是旋转本来太强了，现在宁可牺牲一些
旋转以达到更快的速度。
比如某wsn的纯切slice serve可以搞出诡异弧线，但是只有30mph，对手习惯之后
就可以轻松搞定。于是此wsn决定牺牲一点诡异程度从而pronate.

位置再over around. 如果你把7点～3点的这个action 称为pronation 的话那slice
serve 是要pronation.
但大多数讨论的pronation是指2/3点后的pronate,我认为可以pronate, 但不是必要的
。 side spin 已经从7点到3点加入了， 这时pronate 可以加pace。 不过我不建议因
为容易得GE。 还有就是对于WSN来说这一系列的动作感受都抓不准， 往往会还没到3点
或over the ball就pronate, 变成在砸或压球.
还有就是不少wsn认为slice serve 就是从球的2/3点位置斜的像左向下切。 这的确可
以发出角度刁的slice serve。 这种slice serve 不要pronate. pro 里不大见到这种
发球。

发帖数: 1696 | 9 I had the same question. I think I just figured this out a little bit. I
could be wrong.
First, Federer pronates on all serves, flat, topspin and slice. Not
sure about all pros. But it seems that, flat serve is to throw the racket to
where you want to hit; however, most pros don't do pure flat, so their
first serve is to throw the racket forward but a little bit to the right (
for right handed); topspin is to throw racket to the upper right; slice
serve to throw the racket to the very right. So-called "throw" is the final
wrist whipping that causes pronation. Serve good -> pronation comes
naturally; Deliberate pronation -> usually followed by not-so-efficient
serve.

发帖数: 6757 | 11 yea, I agree, I think pro's pronation comes naturally. I won't be surprised
if some don't even know what pronation is... they just do it, stay relax and
focus on hitting up (or "throw") through the ball...
pronation, i feel if your serve is set, no huge issues, you can mixed in a
bit more pronation for flat serves. So it's more of icing on the cake. Often
WSN has other bigger problem with their serves.

learned a bit. The other way to describe the serves is that, flat serve is
to high through the ball, like you said, but that way it lacks control and
is error-prone, so pros don't completely hit through.
In the serves like Zheng Saisai's high-toss first serve, she doesn't hit
through the ball at all, it's a different technique to hit the ball on top
of her head.
The racket "throw" is the tricky part, my understanding now is completely
different from that 5 years ago.

发帖数: 6757 | 13 I actually lowered my toss now. I think it's better... I can serve
relatively well during practice, but still struggle a bit in the match due
to the change, I feel rushed....
One thing about high toss is sometimes you sorta have to "wait" and when you
are nervous and tight, that "wait" time could really screw you up. I'm not
saying low toss is better, it's more about finding the optimum high for
yourself.
