被评为Examplary榜样学校，6个Recognized。所有小学中，只有一所不是Examplary。
而这所唯一不是Examplary的小学，是专门招收特长生的小学（算试验小学吧）。 也许
是“天才们”都不在乎德州的评级考试吧。
注：Shadow Creek Ranch不属于Pearland学区。 |

发帖数: 11537 | 5 Most people in Houston area was on the move at that time anyway.
The direct distance from Pearland to coast is about 50-60 miles, and to
downtown houston is 8-10 miles. It's your call how much difference it will
make during a major hurricane.
BTW, Pearland is not in the flood zone -- you are not required to buy flood
insurance here because flooding is not not an issue, either during a
hurricane or extended raining.

money. With the property tax money goes to the schools, you can hire good
teachers. The students from families who can afford buying houses are
usually better and more willing to learn, so the end result is a good school
district. But it takes time though.

发帖数: 11039 | 11 Pearland不属于flood zone，排水也很好，不需要买洪水保险的。
反倒是城里很多地方因为排水不良或者河水倒灌，需要买防洪保险，很贵的。
