A**U 发帖数: 1116 | 1 Haven't played for a while. Last night played a game with coworkers.
Had K9 suited UTG. Raised to 7 chips and got 5 callers.
Flop JJ3. Checked around.
Turn J. Checked to me, I said, ok, let me do it. I bet 15 chips.
Everybody folded, and big blind threw his 33 face up.
And the river-to-come would be the last 3. | f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 2 hehe, he put you on a pocket pair?

| A**U 发帖数: 1116 | 4 yes he said he thought that i had pocket pair.
but if i were in his shoes, i would at least call/more likely raise because
as said above the bet was not big and the better could only hold two high
cards.

fold 33 is more reasonable?

| A**U 发帖数: 1116 | 6 Flop JJx, x didn't really matter on the turn as there was no action on the
flop. He would have been the last person to act on the turn after my bet.

| c****u 发帖数: 3277 | 8 it actually depends, slowplay works best against those who like bluffing
a lot. In that case, slowplay would usually win one or two bets.
Also, when one is out of position, slowplay can be a good weapon to stop
bluffing.

much and lose value because of it. Don't slow play unless you have a very
good reason.

| c****u 发帖数: 3277 | 10 Well, when you watch Ivey's game, you may find that he actually slowplays
a lot when he's out of position. For deep stacks, actually one has
to slowplay a lot when out of position with non-nut hands. For example,
suppose, you raise KJs preflop in late position, button calls,
then you bet pot in a J85 rainbow flop, button calls again, now comes 9,
you bet 2/3 pot, got raise 3 times, now you just put yourself in an awkward
situation. the pot is pretty big, the raise isn't very big, but it's not

| c****u 发帖数: 3277 | 13 well, against tough players, you may often meet such kind of situations.
The preflop call and flop call don't mean much cause they are small
bets comparing with your deep stack, the turn raise often means much
but still can be based on a bluff sometimes, they just mix it up
and make it very awkward for you that no matter you fold or not, you
lose.

had to get tricky with some of his good hands to get paid. we, however,
