table and the winner(s) keep dishing hands like top pair crappy kicker with
alarming regularity. The betting happens on all streets and usually ends up
with unusual hands at showdown.
All the players at this table are deep (by deep I meant 300+, with close to
1K for a few).
I was in EP and raise to 10 with pocket 10's (Stack: 450), as usual 5
callers (Pot: 50).
Flop: 10, J, 4 with two spades.

I would still raise here. raise around 75. Get value from AJ/KJ/QJ/flush
draw. Unless I see strong resistance, I still like my hand here.

raises to $120 and BB calls. he tanks and calls.

BB directly over shoves into a $500+ pot, both fold (CO claims he folds 44
bottom set).
just want to see you guys' opinions on this, personally i like player's c/r
on flop, since for sure someone is betting here in m-way. some 2+2ers agree.

want to count on that and C/R flop just kills everything.
if I bet 75 on turn and get raised by CO, will BB call? if BB call, I fold.

But I don't like his line on the turn.
if CO has set of 4s, 无语...
on the flop whether to bet or check raise really depends on the players' tendency. on a table where people like to raise with top pair and draws, you definitely bet. The only problem with check/raising is if they start folding all their top pair weak kickers.
There are merits in both. What they called the grey area in "elements of poker"(just finish reading it yesterday lol. was a very
interesting read).

behind, so be it -- lets play a small pot then.
And bet on a dry board. Aggressive players will put you on AK and float or
bluff raise you. Check raise on a dry board is bad since that shows too
much

Or if the river pairs the board with spade. BB still shove. Would that change everyone's thinking process?
I don't dislike the C/R on flop. But I think people are little result oriented here.

If LP is weak but like to steal, I C/R with air on dry board.
If LP is Aggressive thinking player, I tend to bet on dry board, sometime I
do C/R to balance my range.

发帖数: 7793 | 15 I think betting bigger on wet board and betting smaller on dry boards is
more of a rule than differentiating them by betting or checking raising.
in this hand, i think bombing the flop with a pot size bet is ok if we choose to bet. most of the time they are never letting go AJ KJ QJ, open end, flush draw regardless of we bet 35 or 50 on the flop. Sets sometimes raise more as well because when you bet 35 some fish might think a raise on the flop will "Scare" you away. Betting bigger early on can also make our final pot on the river "A LOT" bigger.
