It shouldn't be as he is still a postdoc at least in 2003. How can he
get the tenured professorship in such a short period of time?

这里还是有个难以解开的疑点，那就是该记者如何知道杨洁毕业学校及职位，是同济大学
提供的信息，还是记者随便瞎写， 除非解放日报自己认错更正，或同济大学或杨洁本人
如此要求， 这疑点要解开还使比较难的。也不能就假设肯定是记者乱写吧？如果同济大
学清白的话，这事闹成这样，也该出来澄清一下才好。俺是拭目以待。正好这几天闲。。
不过这事情从有人不满方舟子的文章，到对方舟子笔伐谩骂，到讨论方舟子其人，这事情
好像转了好几个转了。。。好多人和俺都跟着快转晕糊了。。这事情好像应该就是，
到底解放日报报道属实与否，如果否，同济大学好像应该要求更正。还有，方舟子的
文章准确与否，如果不准确，方舟子应该更正道歉。到目前为止，俺只看到方舟子
说话冲和重了点，其文章基本准确。
至于杨的水平和同济大学是否应该聘请此人，那又是另外一个话题。

I don't believe this is the same Jie Yang. As I heard it's very hard for
a postdoc to get an associate professor directly from Chinese universities
nowadays, let along a dean's position. But that's all I could find in
Colorado.

跟我没关系
那是我那个破母校干的事情
你要觉得自己也和他差不多水准或者比他牛的多,也可以去申请看看
至于你听说的东西,在某些领域里面是,物理什么的,他们那个生命科学什么的
我是不懂什么状况
不过他死活也有1第一作者的引用n多的science吧
当然你可以说这是他导师wxd的功劳,不过这样也就没底了

the best in my personal view. So it's really a pity IF they hired a wrong guy.

位于上海的同济大学几年前才重新搞了一个医学院,算是重新起家
起点也不高,只是上海铁道大学的医学院而已

Also, if the guy is so good, why did he fail to publish good papers in his
own lab.
Most of us here just begin our academic career as graduate students. But the
first thing we learn, whether we will be successful or not in the future, is
to be honest.
We Chinese have already got some bad reputation in giving suspicious published
results in journals.
Don't make it worse.
And if you really love your university, you should

这次的事情,我还真没觉得他要靠撒谎来搞这个dean
同济新闻的主页上也写了他的简历了
里面也没有正教授一说
只是说工作,我确信学校是很明白他到底是做什么的
至于为什么看上他,原因可能多种了
上次我已经说过了,也就给了美国1/3的钱
你还真希望找到什么大牛超牛啊
也不过就是矮子里面拔长子而已
能请一个这样的也就不错了
所以我基本上可以相信他没有在招聘的时候撒谎
至于解放日报的那篇报道
如果确实都是yang自己说的
那他就不是一般的蠢,而是蠢到家了
解放日报那种报纸放在那儿都没人看,在这上面胡吹干什么
我还没觉得有这么蠢的人
倒是外语学院的院长,同济和他自己都是把终身教授挂载嘴边
要是这个yang jie真的自己说自己是个终身教授
没有理由同济不说这个比rio univ好的多的科罗拉多大学的终身教授吧?

我还是倾向于解放日报自己或者同济某个官员胡吹八吹而已
yang jie估计还没蠢到那个程度

~~~~~~~~Not true. Some schools just do not
want to recruit oversea junior scholars and use this way to deny applicants.
Basically, all majors are in the same situation. Though it seems Tongji U got
some bad effects on this issue, on the other hand, people can see that Tongji
U really wants to recruit oversea scholars. Therefore, I think she is more
decent than these who .....
