I need to rent a car for 4 days, picking up and dropping off at around
the same time of the day. So it could be 4 days +/- 1 hour.
I checked a few car rental companies, and they all have a much higher
rate for renting for less than 4 days 1 hour vs longer than 4 days 1
hour.
If I reserve my car for 4 days 1 hour, but my flight is delayed, or I
drop off the car 1 hour early, so my actual rental length is less than 4
days 1 hour. Will they charge me for the much higher rate? That would
sound very scary. I can't fine tune my rental length to the hour.
Can I say I am going to pick up my car at 4pm, but actually come at 6pm?
or say I am going to return my car at 6pm, but actually come at 4pm?
Will they calculate the exact length, and charge me the higher rate? If
so, will they charge me the higher rate at the time of my reservation,
or at the time of the dropoff which will certainly be an even higher
rate, or will they just fine me some penalty for not meeting the minimum
rental length?
I called them, but the guy over in India couldn't wait to give me
another number to call. I sent them email, no reply.

我上次租了7天，只要超过4天3小时就可以还车了，当然他也不会退你钱的。
