发帖数: 792 | 1 打算去白山，然后vermont,但是现在完全没有具体plan，放狗搜了半天也没啥头绪。
主要问题：
1。飞boston之后准备先去白山，比较顺路，不知道那边有啥trail推荐？lodging貌似
是个老大难问题，hamptons inn啥的都订光了，cabin没两百块一下的。。。有经验的
老大说说？
2。白山待两天合适么？这次准备relax一点，慢慢晃悠就行了
3。然后去vermont，会不会稍微晚了点？只能去vermont南边了？只知道vermont能看红
叶，具体都有些啥地方？晃悠多少天合适？
4。如果时间有多的话，去Adirondacks靠铺么？state park貌似很远，但是有一些Peak
里vermont挺近的，一般去那边都爬哪座山？
感觉这是我出门最没头绪的一次了，放狗放了一天还是一头雾水，只能求助万能的
travel版了，多谢！ |

发帖数: 1084 | 5 Lincoln is very convenient for leaf peeking in the White Mtn area. Well, the
local traffic will be jammed on that weekend, so, be patient while driving.
If you want to see the foliage from the top of the Mtn without hiking, you
can take the Tram on the Cannon Mtn, which is about 20 min north from the
town of Lincoln.
For easy hiking, Lincoln Woods has many choices along the streams.

lived in Boston for 3 years and I've been to pretty much every mtn, Greylock
is very family friendly. |

的地方都很贵。FRANCONIA NOTCH还不错，FLUME GORGE不要错过。如果坐MT
WASHINGTON COG RAILWAY一定要多穿，上边很冷。 |

天往返足够了，可以从93上去，302沿路红叶就很漂亮。看完红叶，胆子大的，可以开
车上mt. washington, 胆子小的可以坐小火车上去，火车轮子上有齿轮的，很有趣。
这个季节，vermont景色跟NH重叠，如果从来没来过boston,不如在boston玩玩，九月底
十月初是boston最美的季节。坐坐duck tour, 走走freedom trail, 或者去看鲸鱼，都
很好，boston的whale watching是双体快船，又快又稳又便宜。
唉，说的我自己都想回去玩两天了。

，就去boston拉
mt washington开车上山路很险么？一般还是prefer开车的，不过如果危险当然就坐小
火车拉

早点。希望到时候还能赶得上白山吧，不行就只能在南坡看看了 |

miles round-trip, very pretty.
About lodging: I'm a big B&B fan so I always search this: http://www.selectregistry.com/. Family friendly but may have limited number of rooms so they may be booked up way early.
If you end up going to Vermont, Stowe is a nice cute ski town to stop. I
think somebody also mentioned Stockwood. I would drive to the south along
Route 100. We stopped at Hanover and took a quick tour driving through
Dartmouth College. Try to avoid Jenne Farm - although it's so pretty in the
movie, it's not that impressive when we were there ... |

终于有人推荐hiking路线了！cliff我喜欢阿！这个trail是open view还是小溪小树林
里走的那种阿？看到你说白山还没peak送了口气，希望这个周末peak吧

发帖数: 7 | 19 The highlight of this trail is actually the falls - if I remember it right
it's the highest fall in NH. Two sections of the trail make it a loop, the
cliff trail and the fall trail, around 2.5-3 miles each. The fall trail is
well marked and easy to follow while the cliff trail is a little bit
difficult so you'll have to keep an eye on the marks they painted on the
trees. There are not so many open views along the trail, except for a couple
of outlooks, where you can have a view from the top of the mountains,
valleys, trees, and even the train if you are lucky. There are a couple of
small falls along the trail. Most of the time you'll be hiking in tall trees
- it wasn't peaking time when we were there but I can imagine how beautiful
it must be now. Don't be disappointed when you see the cliff though - it's
actually a very small one.
Another good idea to find trail information is stop by an Appalachian
Mountain Club (AMC) - White Mountains is not a national park so we didn't
find information center but everybody mentioned AMC to us as a good info
source. I think they have several locations: http://www.outdoors.org/publications/books/wmg/white-mtn-guide-online.cfm. Also check out the trails blog: http://trailsblog.outdoors.org/ We didn't have enough time to explore White Mountains, such a shame ...
