发帖数: 2868 | 3 just apply for sapphire preferred, there is no foreign transaction fee when
you use the card outside of the states. You get other perks when using the
card as well, like 2 points on dinning, 1 points on...
just keep in mind, after the first yr, there is an annual fee of $149, it
was 99, but i think they bumped it up to 149 now. The thing is you can
always cancel the card after you come back from your trip, but i think if
you cancel the card, it will affect, most likely negatively, on ur credit

ppl) are going there this May for almost 20 days, I am thinking approx.
2500euro total + 500CHF.
I heard there are lots of thieves in italy, so it is probably not a very
good idea to carry lots of cash on you while you are walking on the streets
of italy, just in case if it gets stolen; a credit card is a much smaller
target than 500 euro of cash
On the other hand, it is probably convenient to have some cash on you while
you are traveling in europe, im sure there are places that don't accept
credit card, so u gonna need cash to buy stuff. | G***o

euros or credit card. We are only planning to spend 2 days in Switzerland,
it is a very expensive place to visit, so I thought 500CHF should be enough
along w/ euros and a sapphire preferred credit card.
