有的时候为了让路，车子要在悬崖边倒出去100甚至200英尺。
两辆车交错，外边的就觉得要下去。

冒险家：
“I'm a young adventure seeker. Have complete confidence in my husband who
drove us. And this was hands down the most scary experience of my life. Well
, one time I got caught in an undertow and almost died so it was kind of
like that. How could this be enjoyable for anyone? I literally broke down in
tears when we made it through. Literally 9 foot width (maybe less)
clearance. Shear cliff on one side. High rock on other that prevents you
from seeing another car around the bend. (If another car approaches, you get
to reverse down said shear cliff road to let them pass. That's fun.) anyway
, I went into an adrenaline crash type thing after this incident and it took
a couple drinks to recover. I am still having nightmares. DO NOT GO.”
女司机：
“My husband and I were going back from Kaanapali to the OGG airport and
figured since we passed Lahaina many times, we'd try the other way on rt30.
Scenery was wonderful, and then before I knew it, I was head on with a blue
convertible on the side of a mountain. My husband and I thought we missed a
sign saying that this was a one way road. We didn't. The blue car had to
back up down the mountain to let me pass- and then I started to lose my
stuff. As many other people have posted, there is no real warning!!! I am a
very secure driver, but the hour of hair pin turns and steep cliffs and
oncoming traffic that you had to find a spot to pull over for.... Did me in!
We will never go on this road again, and we had nice weather(well, rain was
in the distance). DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS ROAD WHILE IT IS DARK OR RAINING!
When we got back to the state highway I cried with relief. Stick with
another route.”
走夜路的：
“The road quickly deteriorated, becoming very narrow, rough and scary. None
of our cell phones had any signal. From the drivers seat, I could actually
see straight down as our rental car knocked small rocks off the edge of the
cliffs we crawled on. Before long it was pitch black dark. At this point, of
course the scenery didn't matter bc all we could see was from our
headlights and the black drop off edges of the cliffs withing a foot of our
car (and I was almost scraping the other side with the rocks trying to stay
away from the cliff edge). There were signs warning of falling rocks signs
and the evidence - many big rocks in the road. We couldn't understand how
the signs could help anyway, other than make people more nervous, bc we
couldn't turn around and didn't know what we could do to prevent rocks from
falling on us???
We kept thinking we must be near the town by now bc it looked so short on
the map as we crawled along for 2 hours that seemed like 5. Luckily, we didn
't have to deal with oncoming cars. (I guess no one else was stupid enough
to be out there at night).”

“I would call myself a professional Driver nothing scares me. Well this
road Got my full attention its not for anyone who is (scary or can't see
well and does not judge distance and angles well). Its Very Very narrow one
lane dirt roads up and down shear Cliffs with absolutely No Guardrail NONE
and at least 200 or 300 feet up at times and if you make a small 8 inch
mistake while driving it could cost you and who ever your with your Lives. I
'm sure I will never drive back there again its beautiful but Deadly and its
just not worth killing yourself over.”
新婚夫妇：
My wife and I are on our honeymoon. My District Manager told me not to take
Highway 340 and how he was scared the entire time. We decided to try it and
took breaks along the 16 mile road to enjoy the scenery. We were very lucky
it was not that packed. There are no warnings signs of telling us not to
travel this road. There is a lot risk, but the reward is great with the
breath taking scenery. There is a great local artist Shop that is great and
we purchased two souvenirs. I wish we stopped at Julie's Banana Bread Stand,
but it is hard to look when your making hair pin turns constantly. The
Picture are worth it, but please do not drive your car off the cliff. Trust
me one wrong turn and your dead. |

，要开过去，预先要看有没有车在中间，有的话要等对面的车先过.....那比去哈那的
路危险很多， |

那段开上大半天也不一定会碰上一辆车

发帖数: 54 | 6 上回还有一个半、两小时飞机起飞到big island. 沿Maui 西北海滩往上开。边欣赏风
景边赶时间…！
结果是偶尔有不是在悬崖边的，两边有一点保护的就开得像拉力赛一样快，都切边进弯
。悬崖边上就怕了，开快点总觉得车的侧倾眀显。胆战心惊。倒是看到当地小孩骑个小
三轮在悬崖边玩，五岁样子。
不建议拖家带口或赶时间的去。雨天夜晚还是免了。我雨夜从Hana 高速开回来都没白
天开这个吓人。 |

发帖数: 2333 | 9 exactly!!!我们很不幸就和对面一辆车狭路相逢了，最后是对面后退了不少到了一处有
路肩的地方才过去的。比起来hana就是小儿科。反正west maui这样绕了一圈以后，我
lg说下次再也不开了。

发帖数: 2333 | 10 很多时候没有路肩好不好。而且还是会经常碰到的。后来我都负责看对面车，如果远远
发现有车过来，赶紧找个有路肩的地方停下来，等对方开过来

发帖数: 77 | 12 这辈子印象最深的路。我们不得不在最窄的一段悬崖边错车，我们幸好在里面（幸好听
了指南的话，逆时针走），我们的小车斜在内侧2尺高的路肩，那辆银色Suv上的妈妈和
一个5，6岁大的小孩下了车，爸爸独自开过去，车轮离悬崖边只有不到一尺，现在还清
晰的记得那个妈妈几乎要哭出来的神情，他们来自欧洲，根本不知道这段路的情况，就
冒冒失失的开了进来。觉得应该把这段路变成one way, 只有local people才能顺时针
走。 |
