are you talking about the Hostel International in NYC which is on the
Amsterdam Ave? I stayed there for 2 nights 3 years ago and liked it a lot.
Most travelers there were students or backpackers so I felt it was relatively
safe. I got the room key which could also open the door to the building so it
prevented non-residents coming in. I got clean bed sheet and blanket at check-
in. Bathroom and dorms were clean too. There are kitchen and library. Very
