中文“邪教”一词中的“邪”来源于佛教概念附佛外道的定义[6] [7] ，其中的“邪”
是用来称呼与所谓的正统佛教教义抵触的教派。 唐玄宗议论摩尼教时也用“邪见”称
呼摩尼教教义[8]。宋朝时，已有“邪教”的称谓[9]。与“邪教”相当的称谓还有源自
早期道教的“左道”、“妖邪”等。英文中，被认为最贴切于“邪教”的词汇是“cult
”。英文中的“cult”一词含有負面價值的評斷，但其贬义色彩远没有中文邪教一词强
烈。某些新兴宗教的支持者认为这个词的英文翻译用 evil cult 更为妥当。

根本不相关。尼玛当年我看cult movie，还以为是邪教电影，哆嗦了几秒钟。大名鼎鼎
的“邪教”这个term，居然17世纪才出来，还要到今天才ofen一下。还要用evil cult
这么个挫复合词来描述？太菜了吧。
很显然，西方文化传统里的黑词是pagan和heresy，邪教神马的没这个概念。 | T*****n
