our economy to spend time with her own kind at the People's Republic of
Berkeley. From The Detroit Free Press, the predictable result of liberal
policies:
Detroit is one of 46 metropolitan areas nationwide facing the prospect
of another lost decade when it comes to job creation, according to a report
released Monday by the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
It will take until sometime beyond 2021 before the Detroit area recoups
the 323,400 jobs it has lost since the beginning of 2005, when employment
hit its pre-recession peak, according to forecasts by economists at IHS
Global Insight.
And this one is as much an indictment of Obama on the national level as
Granholm here in MI:
The report urges Congress to tackle the jobs crisis, forecasting that
the national unemployment rate, which was 9.1% in May, will not fall below 8
% until late 2013.
Remember when Obama promised in February 2009 that if he could throw a $
trillion down the toilet that the unemployment rate would never go above 8%?
Never must mean the better part of 5 years to Obama. |
