Remember Cindy Sheehan, the grieving mother who camped outside of then
President Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas? She called President Bush a
warmonger. Her socialist cohorts carried pictures depicting George W. Bush
as Hitler. She touted herself as an ambassador for peace. So, where is Peace
Ambassador Cindy these days? Not camping out in front of Barack Obama's
Chicago, Illinois mansion.
Ms. Sheehan told Byron York of the Washington Examiner that she has
withdrawn her support for the Democratic Party and Barack Obama. According
to Sheehan, she was used by the Democrats who were not really anti-war, just
anti-Bush. "The "anti-war" "left" was used by the Democratic Party. I like
to call it the 'anti-Republican War' movement." Any person with half a brain
could have told her that.
The progressive Left took advantage of a mother's deep grief, exploiting her
vulnerability to promote their socialist agenda when it suited their
purpose, funding her camping trip to Crawford, Texas. Apparently, the Left
isn't at all interested in funding a similar camping trip to Obama's mansion
. I guess I can't blame them. Chicago is a crime-ridden cesspool. At least
protesters are safe in Crawford, Texas. In Chicago, Illinois they're likely
to be ravaged by the violent gangs that call the city their turf. Oh, did I
just make a politically incorrect and inconvenient observation? They're not
gangs. They're community organizers. Mea culpa.
The fact is that Cindy Sheehan and the rest of the socialist Left aren't
anit-war. They are anti-America. The Left supports the latest action in
Libya because we are preventing the loss of innocent life by protecting the
opposition from being slaughtered by Ghaddafi. There's just one teeny little
problem with that excuse. The opposition in Libya is Al Qaeda. That's right
. The rebels aren't fighting for democracy. They're fighting because
Ghaddafi long ago outlawed the violent Islamist group.
So, Cindy, where are you? Where are all your pals with signs depicting
President Obama as Hitler? Where are the demands to have Barack Obama tried
as a war criminal? Here's the awful truth. Cindy and Left don't mind
sacrificing your children to war, as long as the Left starts it. Bombs away
and Kumbaya. |
