the sanity.
We used to tax the rich 91%. This makes a lot left feel that we still have a
lot room to go to tax the rich.
They forgot one thing: globalization!
Now, US workers has to complete with the global workers, that's why the
union only works the best with the government, not private sector any more.
The government can't move away! The private sector can file bankrupcy, or
simply shut down. If it's not the government, GM will be shut down already.
Also, US tax codes has to compete with Honkong or Singapore tax codes now.
If it's too high, people move! It's already happening! People change jobs,
people change their citizenship!
Globalization changes a lot things! |
